* Two sites work today — ChatGPT and Claude — so the free version covers both for now. Pro's "all sites" starts to matter once Gemini, Grok, DeepSeek, Perplexity, GigaChat and Alice arrive.
Export to Markdown and other formats — coming soon. The full "Download everything (JSON)" data export is already available on every plan; files up to 25 MB are restorable in the current version.
Prices are on the pricing page. There's no payment yet: it arrives at launch. Your current state shows in Chatsavo's settings and in the toolbar pop-up: "Pro trial: N days left", "Free version" or "Pro".
What happens when the trial ends
In short: nothing is deleted. Chatsavo switches to the free version, and here's what that means in practice.
Sites: 2 stay active
On the free version, Chatsavo saves new chats on two sites you choose. Today it supports ChatGPT and Claude, so both stay active. Once Gemini, Grok, DeepSeek, Perplexity, GigaChat and Alice arrive, the choice will matter.
- Pick your active sites: Settings → Sites.
- On inactive sites, everything already saved stays: chats are visible in the panel and can be opened and searched. New chats there just aren't saved.
Folders: all still there
Every folder you made during the trial stays, nesting included. You can still:
- file chats into them;
- rename and delete folders;
- take chats out of them.
You just can't create a new folder while you have more than five. Chatsavo says so plainly: "The free version has up to 5 folders. All your folders stay; create more with Pro."
Search
The index you've built isn't deleted. Full-text search works on the current site, without filters. If you switch to "All sites", Chatsavo reminds you: "Search across all sites is in Pro. Searching this site for now."
Your data
You can download everything as JSON at any time, on any plan: Settings → Your data → Download everything (JSON). We don't hold your data hostage.
If you buy Pro later
Payment arrives at launch. Once you buy, everything switches on immediately: all sites, filters, creating folders. Nothing needs restoring or re-indexing.
When paid Pro ends
The same rule applies as after the trial: nothing is deleted, and Chatsavo moves to the free version.
Savo All bundle
One Savo All key unlocks Pro in Chatsavo and future Savo products. Details on the pricing page.
Questions
Can I extend the trial? No, it's one per browser. With browser sync on, reinstalling doesn't reset it — and reinstalling always wipes your folders and index, so please don't.
Do I need to do anything when the trial ends? No. If you don't need Pro, just keep using the free version.
How the key will work: Key and devices. Key entry arrives together with payments.
