DeepSeek chat history: folders and search
DeepSeek is coming to Chatsavo in the next updates. When it's live, you'll see it in the changelog and its RSS feed.
Chatsavo doesn't work in DeepSeek yet
Today Chatsavo works in ChatGPT and Claude. Gemini, Grok and Alice are in testing; DeepSeek, Perplexity and GigaChat come later.

Why you'd want it in DeepSeek
DeepSeek is strong at code and math, and many people keep it next to ChatGPT. But DeepSeek's chat history is just a list by date: no folders, and finding a month-old solution by a code fragment is hard.
What you'll get in DeepSeek
The same things that already work in ChatGPT and Claude:
- The Chatsavo panel on the left — folders up to 5 levels, "Pinned", "Recent".
- Drag chats from DeepSeek's list into folders, or use "Move to…" in the chat's menu.
- DeepSeek history search across the text of every message, with word forms and typo tolerance.
has:code(Pro) — only messages with code. Handy when you're hunting for that one solution.- Jump to the matching message in a long conversation.
- One search across DeepSeek, ChatGPT and Claude — in Pro, with the "All sites" switch.
- Full JSON download — "Download everything (JSON)"; files up to 25 MB are restorable in this version. Export to Markdown and other formats — coming soon.
Chat text will stay in your browser only.
What you can do right now
- Install Chatsavo — it already works in ChatGPT and Claude.
- Open chatgpt.com or claude.ai and click "New folder".
- Drag your first chats into it from the site's list.
- Follow the changelog or its RSS feed. While you're on the early zip version, download the new version from /install; once the extension is in the stores, updates will arrive on their own.
While you wait: how not to lose DeepSeek solutions
- Rename important chats right after the answer: "Python CSV parser" is easier to find than the first line of your question.
- Keep good solutions open in a separate tab or copy the code into your notes.
- Once DeepSeek works in Chatsavo, open those chats once and they'll be found by any word, including code fragments.

When will DeepSeek work?
In the next updates, right after Gemini. We'll name a date once we've tested it on the live site. The launch will show up in the changelog and its RSS feed.
Will chats from before I installed it be searchable?
Yes, if they're still in your DeepSeek history. Chatsavo saves a chat's text when you open it: open the old chats you need once and they'll be found.
Do I pay extra for DeepSeek?
No. Pro works on every supported site, including new ones. The free version will work in DeepSeek too. Prices are on the pricing page.
Where do my chats go?
Nowhere. Folders and searchable text stay in your browser. Our server receives only your key, a random device ID, the browser and the extension version; chat text — never.
How will I know it's live?
Follow the changelog or subscribe to its RSS feed. We don't collect email addresses.
