Where AI Toolbox is stronger

Where Chatsavo is better
- Search that understands word forms. "Configure server" also finds "configuring servers". One-letter typos are forgiven. Russian is fully supported too, with declensions and ё/е.
- Jump to the matching message. Click a result and Chatsavo opens the chat and scrolls to the right spot.
- Fast. Across 5,000 chats, search answers in hundredths of a second: in our benchmark on a synthetic set, 95% of queries finish within 9 ms.
- One price for every site. AI Toolbox charges per AI, and the $9.99 module gives cross-AI features from ChatGPT only. All four AIs means the $199 All Access Lifetime. Chatsavo Pro works on every supported site at once, including ones added later. Prices are on the pricing page.
- Ruble payments for Russia arrive at launch.
- Your data doesn't reach our server. Folders and chat text stay in your browser. Our server receives only your key, a random device ID, the browser and the extension version; chat text — never. When sync arrives, it will be end-to-end encrypted: the server will only see ciphertext.
- Russian AIs. GigaChat and Alice are coming in the next updates; AI Toolbox doesn't support them.

How to switch
There is no import from AI Toolbox yet, so the move is manual.
- Save a copy from AI Toolbox. Export your important chats to Markdown as an archive.
- Install Chatsavo and open ChatGPT or Claude. The Chatsavo panel appears on the left.
- Create folders. Use "New folder"; for nested ones open a folder's menu and choose "Subfolder" (Pro, up to 5 levels).
- File your chats. Drag a chat from the site's list into a Chatsavo folder, or choose "Move to…" in the chat's menu.
- Fill the search. Chatsavo saves a chat's text when you open it. Open your important old chats once.
- Try the search. Press Alt+Shift+F. Try filters (Pro):
site:claude has:codefinds replies with code in Claude. - Full JSON data download is in settings: "Download everything (JSON)"; files up to 25 MB are restorable in this version.
You can keep both extensions running until you're sure everything is in place.
